Swan Racing has made a major step in improving their team with the newly revamped pit crew for 2014. Finding quality pit crew members is a premium now a days and Swan Racing has done a great job in collecting some very skilled members. The team includes Front Changer Mark “Hollywood” Armstrong, Front Carrier Jay Gay, Jack Man Mitch Lash, Rear Changer Brody Essick, Rear Carrier Chip Goode, and the Gas Man is still TBD. This group has plenty of wins under their belt as individuals and they bring more than enough talent to the table. Driver Cole Whitt understands the importance of having a good pit crew and had this to say about his team and organization.

“As a rookie driver in the Sprint Cup Series, I need a great supporting cast. I’m really proud of Swan Racing for investing in an in-house pit crew and the direction our entire team is headed. I know the guys they have brought in can get the job done and it’s just one less thing I have to worry about on Sunday’s.” Cole Whitt

We caught up with two members of the team to see what their thoughts were on the upcoming season and the progress that Swan Racing is making.

“It’s crazy how fast things come together in this sport. Swan Racing has assembled a great race team in a short amount of time and I am honored they in trusted me to assemble their first in-house pit crew. Daytona can not get here soon enough so we can put our talents on display.” Mitch Lash

“We have a veteran group of guys that can compete with anyone on pit road. After just a few practices, we have the team chemistry and skills to be as good as anyone out there. I’m really excited to be a part of Swan Racing’s first in-house pit crew. I know our owner, Brandon Davis, has a plan to be a winner in this sport and to get in on the ground level with this up and coming team is a tremendous opportunity.” Chip Goode.

Its never easy as a rookie to come into the Nascar Series and compete your best without a good pit crew. Hopefully this pit crew can help Cole in his rookie season and we wish Swan Racing the best in 2014
